Complex data entry is performed using pop-up screens so that the interface is not cluttered with UI artifacts.
There are two types of pop-ups: adding and editing. When the pop-up is made visible, the background is disabled so that additional pop-ups cannot occupy the same page. A pop-up window has its own controls, as depicted below:
