Wanda uses DiaTrack data for analysis of treatment patterns and patient types. She is an intern from a college program and does data mining at Dr. Ellens clinic. Wanda can create a search and view results, but does not have access to personal patient information and cannot determine which patients belong to the practice. Wanda performs searches on behalf of a physician after receiving direction. For instance, Dr. Ellen asks Wanda to determine if patients within a certain demographic category (age, gender, BMI) tend to have a positive reaction given a specific treatment within a one year period, or if there is a negative correlation with other factors, such as ethnicity. Wanda then performs a series of searches to gather evidence about the question and provide a summary of results for Dr. Ellen.
