Acceptance Letter
Dear Tamara, Olga and Dr. Paul,
Congratulations! Your proposal for the Collaborative Research Environment for Undergraduates in Computer Science and Engineering program has been funded for $6,500. Your proposal was judged to be one of the best projects that were submitted for consideration this year.
You will be asked in September to verify the original information submitted in the proposal about the participants and sponsors. In December, you will be asked to provide a brief progress report on your research as well as feedback about the CREU initiative. The final report on your research project will be due June 1, 2007. During the research year, you will also be asked to participate in the evaluation of the CREU program * including completing a couple of surveys and possible interviews. Additionally, you are expected to keep a weekly journal and an updated website containing the details and progress of your project. There will be a link from the CREU website to your website.
Half of the funds for your research work will be sent to you upon receipt of the December report, with the remainder of the money sent when your final report and surveys have been submitted.
