I am a CSI major at Metropolitan State College of Denver, senior, plan to graduate in the Spring 2007

I have a medical degree from Ural State Medical Institute, Ekaterinburg, Russia. I attended medical school from fall 1989 until spring 1995.

After medical residency I worked as an endocrinologist in Hospital # 40, Ekaterinburg, from fall 1996 until spring 2000, where I worked in the Endocrinology and OB/GYN Wards. I participated in developing a computer-based diabetic registry and performed research in the field of pregnancy and diabetic diseases. I did diagnosis, patient consultations, treatment plans, prevention and lifestyle education. I specialized in consultation and management of treatment for pregnant patients and their newborn children.

In the Summer of 2006 I worked at the Center for Computational Pharmacology (CCP) at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center with a team of software developers and linguists. Assisted in the TREC 2006 Genomics competition: Concept Recognizer with a concept database was written in Java (Test Driven Development with Junit and FIT); adapted MetaMap software for use with existing CCP classes using Java; performed Relevance Judgment to provide input to Machine Learning software (WEKA); general utility code to support data parsing written in Java; self-education in the field of information retrieval, bioinformatics, and machine learning.

I work full time in the energy industry doing GIS and other technical work, and go to school part-time at the Metropolitan State College of Denver, working on my B.S. in Geographic Software Engineering. I am a Senior and will graduate in the Spring of 2008.
